The Utah Republican Assembly (URA) held simultaneous Endorsing Conventions on Wednesday night, April 13, 2016, at the Crystal Inn in Murray and at the Washington County Commission Chambers in St. George where dozens of grassroots conservative activists and members gathered to listen to a number of statewide elected officials and candidates in addition to candidates for the Utah State Legislature. Utah Attorney General Reyes along with 21 other candidates were unanimously endorsed for the 2016 election cycle with praise extending from northern to southern Utah. This critical endorsement also carries with it the endorsement of the URA’s parent organization-- National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA).
AG Reyes had kind words for the URA, stating, “I had the privilege of addressing officers, delegates and members of the Assembly who braved the weather tonight at its Endorsing Convention…Thank you to the Utah Republican Assembly for its unanimous endorsement.”
URA National Director David Pyne added, “We intend to do everything we can to help our endorsed candidates win. I believe that they are all very principled and courageous conservatives and we are pleased to give these outstanding public servants and candidates our full support in the 2016 elections."
